Environment
The Rams Head Inn is unique in its commitment to the environment. Not only has the building been developed in a manner sympathetic to the village, but also to more global environmental issues.
The pub generates its own power using a Combined Heat and Power unit, (CHP). The by-product of these units is hot water, which is used to heat the pub and provide all the hot water needs of the venue. Any excess power generated can be exported back to the national grid.
We source our produce locally using an LPG converted vehicle. Used cooking oil is recycled to produce fuel oil, and waste glass and cardboard are recycled. The combination of these features is designed to reduce the carbon footprint of the business.
